Hemp Complete: CBD + CBDA
Bluebird Hemp Complete blend is a special formulation of various hemp extracts high in terpenes. It contains half decarboxylated CBD and half non-decarboxylated. CBD-A (the raw version of the molecule directly from the plant). To this we add a steam distilled extract of terpenes – the molecules that give the smell to many of the plants we love and help contribute to the entourage effect. With both forms of cannabinoids plus the steam distilled hemp, this blend is the most comprehensive hemp product that we know.
1. Full-spectrum hemp CBD extract (250+ mg cannabinoids per fluid ounce: 125 raw + 125 heated)
2. Steam distilled hemp extract (hemp terpenes, flavonoids, aldehydes, ketones)
3. Organic extra virgin olive oil
Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract – CBD + CBDA
Full-spectrum extract of agricultural hemp is high in naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, aldehydes, ketones, vitamins, trace minerals, omega fatty acids, protein, and more. Additionally, the hemp extract in our Hemp Classic blend contains both raw (CBDA) and heated cannabinoids (CBD).CBDA, or cannabidiolic acid, is the non-decarboxylated/raw form of CBD. CBDA transforms into CBD when carbon dioxide and hydrogen are removed. This can occur naturally as exposure to heat and light causes the plant to age, or it can occur by applying heat directly to the cannabinoids.
Steam Distilled Hemp Extract
Our steam (water) distilled CBD hemp oil contains at least 26 different aromatic terpenes plus various aldehydes and ketones. Steam distillation is an extraction technique that uses heat in the form of steam to break down plant matter and extract nutrients. Although this method tends to be less precise for extracting cannabinoids from hemp, it is very effective at extracting terpenes, aldehydes, and ketones. Terpenes, in particular, play a significant role in the way cannabis interacts with the body. The “entourage effect” is a common term used to describe the way the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids in cannabis all work together to modulate how CBD and THC interact with the endocannabinoid system.
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Our organic extra virgin olive oil is an excellent, nutritious carrier oil for our hemp extract. CBD is lipid soluble, which means it is more easily absorbed into the bloodstream when consumed with other fats. The high concentration of healthy fats in olive oil and its pleasant taste make it a perfect carrier oil for our CBD hemp.

Like many natural supplements derived from plants, the taste may be strong and bitter. Some people like the flavor, some don’t. Mix with a smoothie, applesauce, etc. to smooth it out. We encourage doing your own research and experimentation with hemp extract blends in order to find what feels best for you.
There is no official recommended serving for CBD. The information on this page is intended to serve as a good starting point only and should not be considered medical advice.
The variables on finding a universally prescribed serving of CBD are almost infinite – weight, diet, metabolism, genetics, environment, and more all affect the perfect serving for you.
Start with the lowest possible serving. Some conditions benefit from low serving size, some benefit from high serving size, and some benefit the most from somewhere in the middle. Slowly working your way up is the best way to find the proper serving size for you.
If you feel you can benefit from a higher serving size of CBD, research suggests increasing your serving every 3-4 weeks to fully process how your current serving size is affecting you.
We also recommend keeping notes on how your CBD serving size affects you – this practice will help you remember accurately which serving size helped you feel your best.
