BASKiN Essentials Body Wellness Cream Cited as Effect Against Back Pain in Medical Journal

As of 2019, BASKiN became among one of the first branded CBD products to be officially studied as a remedy for pain management. According to the recently published edition of the Journal of Opioid Management, BASKiN Essentials Body Wellness Cream effectively managed cases of acute and chronic back pain. This conclusion is fueling further research into the recommendation of CBD products as an official course of pain-relieving treatment. BASKiN’s creams are independently tested for potency, purity, and more by third-party labs.

CBD Treatment Found Effective for Severe Seizures in Batten Disease Case

We’ve discussed how effective CBD can be in the fight against epilepsy in humans and even dogs. Now, a new study, published in Neurological Sciences, details the effective treatment of a 25-year-old male with a rare disorder known as Batten disease. Batten disease is an inherited disease that can cause vision loss, progressive motor and cognitive decline, and seizures. Prior to treatment, the patient was having up to 60 seizures per day. After receiving treatment and for the following three months, his seizures dropped to zero.

“The case of our patient with refractory epilepsy in Batten disease confirms the effectiveness of cannabinoids in refractory epilepsy,” the authors wrote. “Further experimental studies in the spectrum of neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis disorders are required to validate these findings.”

Congressional Members Sent DEA Letter Asking for Clarity on Hemp Extraction Rule

Nine congressmen are asking the DEA to better protect hemp producers. A current rule is suggesting that some hemp derivatives, extracts, or components are illegal during the active extraction process if levels of THC happen to rise. The rule complicates one of the main guidelines in the 2018 Farm Bill, which makes hemp derivatives legal given they contain less than 0.3% THC. If not corrected, the rule could wrongly convict some production efforts that are otherwise compliant (and fully legal).
