[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When taking a new supplement, it’s common to want to know everything about it. You probably want to make sure it’s right for you, learn how it works, and ensure that you’re getting the most out of your new routine.
A frequent question that pops up when starting a new supplement is whether or not the time of day you choose to take it makes a difference – and CBD is no different! Here are some considerations you may want to keep in mind when deciding the best time to take CBD.
Taking CBD in the Morning vs Taking CBD in the Evening
Many CBD users enjoy taking their CBD first thing in the morning – maybe even cooked into their breakfast. Starting your day with the potentially restorative, mind-clearing properties of CBD can be wonderfully refreshing!
In contrast, some of our customers take their CBD with dinner or right before bed for a chance at relaxing, pain-free sleep that night.
Since the full effects of CBD remain active between 4 and 12 hours – depending on a multitude of factors such as the method of consumption, amount of CBD taken, and more – some even choose to have multiple servings a day.
How to Choose the Best Time to Take CBD
Really, there is no one-size-fits-all best time to take CBD because of the way it affects our energy levels. People often find that they react very differently to CBD depending on when it’s taken.
If you find that taking CBD right before bed makes you feel too energized to sleep well, you may have better luck taking it in the afternoon. That way, you can still enjoy the calming effects when it’s time to sleep, but the energizing effect will have worn off.
Alternatively, if you find yourself drowsy after your morning CBD, try moving to the evening. You’ll sleep soundly, and the residual effects of your great night’s sleep will help you perform better throughout the day!
It may require some experimenting on your part to see when CBD helps you feel your best. If you find yourself unable to sleep or too relaxed to perform at your best, try taking CBD at a different time of day and see how it affects you!
